1965 CADILLAC ELDORADO CONVERTIBLE ELVIS PRESLEY’S DREAM CAR
Finished in over 40 coats of of hand-rubbed Gold Pearlescent paint with specially designed gold interior by Elvis Presley himself. This unique motorcar was designed and created by both Elvis Presley and the King of Customs himself, George Barris, who happened to be one of Elvis’ closest friends. This great piece of motoring history has many unique features and is truly a one of a kind creation. Where there have been many cars that Elvis has owned, this is, in fact, the only car that Elvis Presley ever designed. This was, in its namesake, his Dream Car. It is the only opportunity to aquire what we believe to be one of the most important Elvis Presley memorobelias in history. This car was also licensed to Hot Wheels and the Mattel company, so a Hot Wheels miniature was produced and, in itself, is a collector’s item. This motorcar was completed for the Elvis Presley Cosmetics Company by George Barris after Elvis Presley passed away. From there, it went on tour and soon became famous as one of the most well-recognized Elvis Presley cars of all times. With great pride and enthusiasm we offer this unique piece of history to the true collector, enthusiast or investor who appreciates this wonderful creation. This is an opportunity to own one of the world’s most famous motorcars at an investment price. Bid with confidence – this is certainly a once in a lifetime opportunity! 1965 Elvis Dream Cadillac, Designed by Elvis Presley and George Barris, Coach built by Barris Kustom Ind. Elvis Caddy pic Elvis Presley’s special, gold-flake Eldorado convertible with guitar-shaped sun visors was used in marketing operations by E.P. [“Elvis Presley”] Cosmetics. Elvis Presley, for many years, had several motor vehicles designed and coach built by his friend, “The King of Customizers” George Barris. One of Elvis’ dream designs was to have a unique gold plated Cadillac Eldorado convertible created especially for and by him using his ultra show biz concept and styling. The car was designed by Elvis and George Barris in the late 60’s. Regretfully, Elvis passsed away before his dream could become reality (Elvis died in 1977). In 1986, representatives from the Elvis Presley Cosmetic Company (E. P. Cosmetics) contacted George Barris to service their request for an Elvis promotion. The Dream Cadillac was completed for the promotion and it was insured for $250,000. Interview with George Barris Joe:

You’ve worked with many Hollywood legends: Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley. Can you share some of the experiences you’ve had with these legends? George:

Well, like Frank Sinatra … we all called them the Rat Pack, because it was Frank and Dean and Sammy and the whole group, and for me to build cars for that whole group was interesting because each one of them had everything in the world they could have, but then we had to make cars that they like, with the dual gears and the Chryslers and some experimental cars and it was a fun project because each one of them liked what each one had. Of course Elvis was really a car guy. He liked lots of cars. Cadillac was his favorite. We did the first ’57 that was pink, then we did the limousine and right on through … some of the buses. So Cadillac was the inspiration for Elvis as well as many, many other stars. Joe:

Can you tell us the story of Elvis’ Gold Cadillac convertible

? George:

We created the gold Cadillac convertible

that we designed together, because I spent a lot of time with Elvis and Priscilla and then in building the car along with the cosmetic company, he had licensed, we completed the car but regretfully, of course, he passed away before we could finish it. The car goes on tours and everything. (Barris completed the car and unveiled it in 1987.)

car with Elvis prop The car was licensed by and sold to E. P. Cosmetics and as such debuted in presentation events held at The Equestrian Center in Toluca Lake, California with Elvis’ father, Mr. Vernon Presley, as the spokesman officiating for the cosmetic company. The car began a national tour throughout 1987, sponsored by E. P. Cosmetics. The Elvis Dream Cadillac was then purchased by Barris Kustom Industries in North Hollywood, California to extensively tour as a “Feature” in the World-of-Wheels, Autorama, and Rod & Custom Auto shows throughout the U.S.A. and Canada. Features:

14 karat gold plated exterior components. Hand swirled gold leaf stripping by Bob Bond. 40 coats gold/pearl of essence lacquer paint. Machined formed gold E. P. hood ornament. Interior upholstery concept by Dick Dean. Rear seat entertainment compartment. Guitar styled rear seat speakers. Guitar styled sun visors. Gold RCA record discs mounted into tonneau cover. Ten year anniversary guitar pins by P.I.T.T.S. etc, etc. The car has never been restored, thus it is in its original condition. The car runs well and comes with an information package and certification from Barris Kustom. Mr. George Barris himself came to inspect the car at a previous owner’s residence and certified it. Miniature Elvis Dream Caddy Mattel Inc. released their “Hot Wheels Legends” series collectible – toy version of the car. Not long after, the car was sold and exported to Japan and came back to California in July of 2002.

Financing

Finance rates as low as 8.9%.

We know that classic car financing can pose a unique challenge. Although a vintage or exotic car can be an excellent investment, some financial institutions attempt to apply standard “used car” rules for financing a classic car, which in many cases can make loan approval difficult.

We work closely with many banking institutions that understand and recognize the collector value of classic cars and view them as an investment, which allows us to help you get the financing you need so that you can have the car you have dreamed of.

Terms available up to 144 Months
