One of the most famous and well-regarded Porsches of all time, the original 911 Turbo (fondly referred to as the “930”, its internal chassis code, by aficionados) took the company from maker of somewhat quaint sports cars to one known for its technological prowess and incredible performance. While initial cars offered a Turbocharged 3.0L Flat-6 producing 260hp, the company increased displacement to 3.3L, added an intercooler, and numerous other updates over the years so that, by 1989, power was up to 300hp in European cars (US buyers made due with 265hp).
