In 1983, Land Rover significantly increased the dependability, comfort, and capability of their most robust model, the Series III, with the release of the One-Ten. While the Series trucks were typically marketed as work vehicles or for military usage, the new model was also geared towards private recreational usage. All of these changes resulted in a resurgence in sales, helping the company update the Range Rover and introduce the Discovery by the end of the eighties.
