The fifth Rolls-Royce to bear the Corniche name, this modern legend made its debut in January 2000. With a base price of $359,900, it was the most expensive vehicle offered by Rolls-Royce at the time. In 2001, when Bentley and Rolls-Royce once again became two separate companies, the Corniche production run ended. As befitting a luxury automobile of this stature, the Corniches were truly hand-built vehicles and were fitted with the best of everything. Though they had styling cues sourced from the Rolls-Royce Silver Seraph sedan, it shared few mechanics with the BMW-engined car. Instead, the Corniche body was set onto the platform used for the similarly-styled Bentley Azure, thus it was the first and only Rolls-Royce descended from a Bentley rather than the other way around.

The gorgeous 2001 Rolls-Royce Corniche Turbo Convertible featured here is finished in the stunning factory color combination of Masons Black over a Tan Connolly leather interior, magnificent woodwork throughout, and a black power-folding convertible top. The fifth-generation Rolls-Royce Corniche Convertible was introduced in 2000 and was built in limited numbers. At a price of over $360,000 when new, it was one of the most exclusive motorcars of its era. Rolls-Royce enthusiasts highly covet today’s model as it was the last model assembled at the Crewe factory in Cheshire, England. This particular example was sold new in Massachusetts and has been meticulously maintained from new. Today it presents in spectacular, original condition while having traveled only 21,800 miles from new! Since October 2017, over $13,000 in service work (including an overhaul of the brake hydraulic system, suspension attention, and more) was performed by the Rolls-Royce and Bentley specialists at European Autoworks in Houston, Texas. All the work was completed less than 3,000 miles ago, ensuring that this example performs as well as it presents and will certainly bring many years of enjoyment to its next caretaker.
