We are proud to offer this investment grade Electra to the most astute collector, investor or enthusiast who demands the best. Bid with confidence – you will not be disappointed in this extremely rare Buick convertible. HISTORY OF THE 1960 BUICK ELECTRA 225 CONVERTIBLE: 325 bhp, 401 cu. in. Nailhead V8 engine, Turbine Drive automatic transmission, independent front suspension with unequal-length A-arms and coil springs, live rear axle with coil springs, and four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes. Wheelbase: 126″ Over its long history, Buick often rebelled against its position within Alfred P. Sloan’s carefully stratified GM marque hierarchy, with Buick’s aspirations best expressed by the new-for-1959 Electra 225. The “225” was derived from the 225-inch overall length, the longest of all GM cars during that period. At first glance, not only was it slightly longer than that year’s Cadillac, its 401 cubic inch V8 engine was larger in displacement. Additionally, the upstart Buick model also offered luxury approaching, and sometimes surpassing, that of its more “senior” GM brethren. The dramatically restyled 1959 models were replaced by all-new models for 1960, with the flagship Electra now riding atop a Buick-only “K-member” frame. The canted headlights of 1959 were now laid flat and parallel to the bumper, complementing the wider, longer and lower overall styling theme of the early 1960s. Accenting the clean bodywork, a pair of broad trim panels cloaked the lower body of the Electra 225, neatly integrating the front and rear bumpers with the body of the car – a very elegant look. The top of the line Electra 225 Convertible was luxuriously equipped as is the car presented here. It includes a leather interior, power windows, a power-operated top, Super Deluxe wheel covers, an outside rear view mirror and the Safety Group. Standard equipment on all premium Buicks also included a padded dashboard, power steering, power brakes, two-speed wipers and dual exhaust outlets. It even has a speedometer that adjusted for the driver’s height.

Financing

Finance rates as low as 8.9%.

We know that classic car financing can pose a unique challenge. Although a vintage or exotic car can be an excellent investment, some financial institutions attempt to apply standard “used car” rules for financing a classic car, which in many cases can make loan approval difficult.

We work closely with many banking institutions that understand and recognize the collector value of classic cars and view them as an investment, which allows us to help you get the financing you need so that you can have the car you have dreamed of.
